Phuket Cleanse (www.PhuketCleanse.com) is a transformational program in which people acquire the tools to stay in a continuous state of rejuvenation. Located in beautiful Phuket, Thailand at the southern-most tip of the island, Phuket Cleanse is a place to cleanse through a cutting-edge detox and fitness program. Clients gain knowledge of the science of rejuvenation so their bodies remain in a "cleansing" state at all times.

Among them meditation plays a vital role.It is complete experience in ways of detoxing your body.Detox Thialnd is the best in world.Have look on our Meditation studies.

You will be taking in a lot during your program at Phuket Cleanse. Meditation time will be necessary for you. You may or may not be a mediator. Either way, you will find mediating with binaural beats to be a fantastic meditation tool, and one you can use in many aspects of your life. We will have two meditation sessions a day using binaural beats as a tool for getting into a deep meditative state. Let’s give you some background on binaural beats.
In the 1970s and early 80s, a series of studies and brainwave experiments were done among “successful” people in all walks of life from businesspeople to students, and from artists to athletes.
It was found that the one aspect of the brain that they all shared was something called “brainwave synchronization”. Let’s break down these words; brainwaves are the energy patterns flowing around your brain, and synchronization comes from the word “synchronous,” meaning “at the same time”.
Brainwave synchronization means that an even amount of energy is flowing around the brain. Most of the time, we may have a lot of electrical activity happening in the front of the brain, with a little on the right and a big abundance of electrical activity on the left side. This is not a “synchronized brain”. This is a brain in a state of unbalance or disharmony. This is not an effective state for studying, meditation, or carrying out most tasks.
Brain Coherence …
Listening to binaural beats while studying, meditating, writing or working are a brainwave entrainment tool. What? Let’s talk about entrainment with a scientific example. If a tuning fork that produces 440 Hz is struck, a second tuning fork that is nearby will begin to oscillate. The second tuning fork will begin to oscillate at the same Hz. The first tuning fork “entrained” the second tuning fork.
The brain is the same. If a particular frequency is played for a period of time, our brainwaves will begin to entrain to it and match up with the frequency. The concept behind binaural beats is that with sound, you can tell the brain what state to be in.
You may want to go on YouTube and start experimenting with binaural beats, but you will want to know which music you should choose based on the brainwave state you want to achieve. We will assume like many people, you are busy.In addition to your busy life, you probably live in amongst the media onslaught. Imagine one typical night where you are having difficulty falling asleep. Your brain is just jumping around like crazy, thinking of everything you have to do the next day. This kind of energetic activity is not appropriate for sleep. When you sleep, your brainwaves are in a state of delta. This state is about 1 to 4 Hertz. If you have delta binaural beats, you can put on your headset and quickly entrain your brain to the frequency of sleep—delta.
If you relax, breathe deeply and regularly, it takes about fifteen minutes for your brain to entrain to the new frequency. Now, we have to say that results will be greater if you allow your mind to rest and give some focus to the frequency.
Now, say it is in the middle of the afternoon. You are at work trying to come up with a solution for something, and you would like to have some deeper wisdom or insight. You may want to take about 15 minutes to listen to some theta binaural beats. The frequency is higher than delta. It does not promote deep sleep, but it will help you refresh and get you into a state in which higher level ideas or solutions occur.
Often in this mind space, solutions to problems or good ideas may arise. Theta music, a frequency between five and seven Hertz is a good frequency to use during deep mediation. You will get accustomed to using theta binaural beats during your meditation sessions at Phuket Cleanse. We also work alpha frequency binaural beats. It is a little faster at eight to twelve Hertz. If you are doing creative work or just want some gentle relaxation, you can find lots of alpha beats on YouTube, along with beta frequencies, which are in the frequency of 16 to 24 Hertz and may be the best choice for any focused activity that requires a great deal of alertness.
This explanation on our binaural beats meditation program may be enough for you. If you would like to go further with your understanding with some research on binaural beats as a therapy and for the purpose of mediation, check out the next article.
Research on Binaural Beats
A few years ago, researchers at the Monroe Institute had the opportunity of mapping the cortical activity of an adept meditator who had been regularly practicing and teaching mediation for over fifteen years. The subject’s EEG activity during baseline showed an asynchronous state throughout the cortex. The primary cortical activity was that of high-frequency alpha activity combined with some theta and beta waves especially concentrated in the left temporal lobe. Once a stable baseline was achieved, the subject was asked to practice his meditation. Shortly after this, the subject’s cortical activity began to slow down and signs of phasic-bilateral synchrony became apparent. Within a matter of minutes the subject’s primary cortical activity was that of low frequency alpha across the cortex. These observations were consistent with other lab studies of monks and other long-term mediators. After the subject stopped meditating, his cortical activity began to resemble that of the pre-meditation state.
This was actually one of the few times researchers witnessed a fully synchronized brain induced by meditation in a neuropsychological laboratory.
In the months that followed, by using the computer-analyzed EEG unit, researchers began testing and experimenting with a variety of equipment, gadgets, tapes, special vibrational sounds, musical notes played on synthesizers, resonating bowls and gongs, all of which claimed to entrain the brain into a synchronized, enhanced state. The results of their investigations were at best disappointing. In study after study, such devices and sounds failed to result even in a slight movement in the direction of hemispheric synchronization or enhancement of any brainwave frequencies.
In the early months of 1989, researchers began studying the effects of a specialized audio technology, known as binaural beats, which purported to bring about hemispheric synchronization. Unlike other modalities tested so far, binaural beats were based on a sound and scientific method of brain entrainment. Researchers designed three studies to measure and investigate the effects of the Hemi-Sync signal on electrocortical activities to see if binaural beats could create the same brainwave patterns found in the advanced meditator. It was found that with binaural beats, a non-meditator could achieve the same brain patterns in about 20 minutes of brainwave synchronization as the advanced meditator achieved.
